{Apple of Our Eye}

Hadley's birthday is in October so we choose the theme Apple of our Eye because it was so fitting!

If I am being completely honest, I had been planning this long before she was even born.
Although I wasn't sold on a theme till a few months before, I knew the colors, style, and bits and pieces. Planning a first birthday is an amazing experience and I couldn't believe my baby was turning one. It is such a bittersweet moment for parents, and I know there are many more to come.

 My husband built the Cider Stand out of pallets! I am have soo many ideas for this little stand! We kept it white so it could be used for many different events!

I got my inspiration for this Apple Picking board from the lovely Ella Claire Inspired blog! You can find her tutorial here.

There was a chili bar filled with all the toppings! We kept it simple and stuck with a veggies plate, some macaroni salad, and some apple caramel bites! I made homemade apple sauce for thank you favors & we served warm apple cider!

It was a gorgeous & chilly day, so we kept warm around a small bonfire. All of our closet friends and family came to celebrate! Sadly though, our sweet baby wasn't feeling too well and had a pretty high temperature. She was a trooper though and had as much fun as a sick baby can have!

After it was all said and done I was a little sad that it was over but I have been anxiously already began thinking about her 2nd birthday!
