How Alpine Ridge Events got started:
Ever since I got married I have been in love with planning events. I have always loved Holidays and any reason to celebrate so I was beyond excited to plan my wedding.
We live in the most breathtaking place and yet it is so hard to find a reasonably priced venue around here. We had a budget and we really didn't want to blow all of it on a venue. Fortunately we got lucky and were able to use a family friends barn and property. After the wedding and planning was over I sat down with my little notebook and wrote out my dreams for the future.
I wrote that I wanted to plan parties, decorate homes, re-purposed furniture, be a flea market vendor, have a barn sale, own a venue.. and the list went on and on. It was a good spot for me to get it all out and I realized after time and reflection that my true dream is to own a venue. I can accomplish so many things with a venue. This was in 2012.
We then got pregnant with our sweet Hadley and things took a well deserved back seat. She is and will always be my priority. I was so lucky to have had 10 months off with her, but money starting getting tight with my husbands winter hours approaching and so I have since gone back to work.
It has been hard, really hard. Saying goodbye to the sweetest baby and listening to her cry out "mammmaa" while you are walking out the front door is hard. There were definitely a few days where I shed some tears driving to work.
It took going back to work to get realize that I wanted more than anything to stay home with Hadley again. So I got back into the swing of things.
Where Alpine Ridge Events is now:
I have gotten my Etsy Shop up and running. I sell handmade burlap banners and garlands and absolutely love it! My favorite part about my small business is knowing that I get to send out these amazing banners and garlands for you to use to celebrate the best days of your life.
My Dream for Alpine Ridge Events:
My dream, my goal, and my hope is to someday own a venue that embodies our surroundings and to provide a space that feels cozy and heartwarming for those special memories to be made in.
